As head of buying and distribution at Halcyon Records from 2008 until mid-2014, Taimur’s work helped lead the resurgence of the local Brooklyn scene. With fifteen + years of history and accolades for helping to revive one of the world’s most important dance music scenes, Taimur and Blk|Market Membership hold an esteemed position as architects of New York’s contemporary scene. On the strength of these accomplishments, Taimur has devoted himself full-time to his DJ & production career and currently resides in Miami. He launched his record label Blkmarket Music which features releases by Reade Truth, Craig Richards, Gosub and others. he has also opened up his new vinyl emporium with his wife in Miami. T Bag Records was born on April 10 2021 and is a vinyl shop that is dedicated to underground dance music of many genres.
