After two much-sought-after releases from DJ Chupacabra, Carpet’s Steps series just had to come back with a third. ‘Finissage’ and ‘Subsonic’ on the A both live up to their steppy billing, the beats dipping and diving in and out of pads and samples that nod unashamedly to UK garage and dubstep. On the B, ‘Wooded’ is a new-school minimal groover for a housier crowd, while ‘Dranzer’ rounds things off with massive bass, R&B- esque samples and just enough of a pinch of acid.
