Drums Of Passion
Pleasingly, the acid influence remains on Drums of Passion, his first 12" for the recently launched Hard Fist imprint. It's arguably most obvious on "Pregamell", an Acid Arab style excursion where notably psychedelic acid lines wrap themselves around Arabic vocals and densely layered Persian percussion. You'll also find waves of TB-303 tweaks amidst the rolling tribal percussion and wild Afro-disco synth solos on killer A-side "Chien De Timps" and buried beneath a bouncy, bustling, percussion-laden Turkish disco groove on closer "Conga".
